Pastors & leaders
My wife Colleen and I moved to Manteca in 2010 when we asked the Lord to bring us to a place that would be strategic for ministry. We have hosted and led Life Groups as well as served in leadership for women’s and men’s ministry. I also volunteer with Calvary's Living Well Ministries once a week. I have a passion to see believers be fully engaged in becoming strong disciples of Jesus who are also making other strong disciples of Jesus. I have 2 grown daughters and 4 grandchildren.
Jim and Betty Anne have 3 grown sons and have lived in the Greater Manteca area since 1992. Jim was formerly on staff as Administrative Pastor from 1999 to 2017. Currently Jim is volunteering as Minister of Congregational Care on a half-time basis. Previously Jim has been a church-planter, re-started churches and served as a Lead Pastor. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, a Masters of Divinity degree, and has completed all Doctrinal requirements for the Doctor of Ministry degree from Talbot Theological Seminary. His passion is to see people grow in Christ and serve Him.
Dr. Mark Belokonny, has been in pastoral ministry for 38 years. His Masters and Doctoral degrees are from Western Seminary and Biola University. Mark is sought out as a Church Consultant and Transitional Lead Pastor. (He was our Tr. Lead Pastor from 1998-2000 and then again from 2013-2015.). Mark also serves as a Professor at Multnomah Biblical Seminary where he teaches Biblical Leadership, Ministry Management and Conflict Resolution in the Church. Mark and his wife, Sarah, reside in Brush Prairie, WA. They have three grown children and four grandchildren.
I love being a Children’s Pastor! I grew up in San Mateo in a home where my parents loved Jesus with their whole heart. It’s because of them that I came to know Christ at a young age. I grew to love Jesus more and more as a young adult. After attending Bible College in Oregon, God called me into teaching and from teaching He called me into full time ministry. I completed my Master’s Degree in Educational Administration. I served at my previous church in San Mateo for 17 wonderful years. In 2001 God called me to serve here at Calvary. I love the team that God has built here at Calvary to teach our children about Jesus.
I grew up in a Christian home, but never really lived the way God wanted me to. However, during my 8th grade year, I encountered God at Hume Lake Christian Camps and my life was changed forever. I got into ministry to share the Jesus I had encountered, in the hope that others could experience Him as I have. I have my Bachelor in Criminal Justice at Sacramento State University (2011), and a Masters in Theology from Liberty Theological Seminary in Lynchburgh, Virginia (2016). My wife, Megan, and I live in Manteca, and we love exploring, food, music, and traveling.
I grew up in Vietnam until my family immigrated to San Rafael, CA in 1994. I enrolled as a part-time student at the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in the Fall of 2005, and graduated with a Master of Divinity in the Spring of 2014. During those 9 years, I worked full-time for Wells Fargo Bank and Chase Bank while ministering to youths and young adults in San Francisco on the weekends. I met my wife Rachel on a mission trip to Malaysia in 2006, and we got married in 2010. Rachel and I enjoy traveling, trying new foods, and learning about different cultures. My favorites hobbies are: playing soccer and reading good books. I love to connect with young adults about God and life over coffee.
As a child, Roman Catholicism defined my worldview. As a freshman in college, I surrendered my life to Jesus and developed a heart for music ministry and missions work. I earned a Bachelor of Music degree at CSU-Los Angeles and studied at Fuller Theological Seminary and Western Seminary. I came to Calvary in January, 2018, to serve as the interim worship pastor while also searching and praying for a new ministry role back in Los Angeles. Christine and I are the proud parents of Joseph (23), Claire (21) and Jonathan (14).
I am happily married to my husband Rich. We have 4 children—one still at home preparing for the Army—and 2 grand-babies. I am very passionate about sharing the gospel and seeing lives transformed by the power of Jesus Christ. As Director of Living Well Ministries, I have the privilege of experiencing this on a daily basis. I enjoy working with our community. I have the honor of being a part of our community’s homeless task force and also sitting on the board of Hope Ministries, a homeless shelter in town. I have completed the MLC program at Western Seminary and earned many coaching certifications from there.
I became a follower of Jesus at the age of 11 during a Junior High summer camp and since then I have been following Jesus passionately. Currently I serve as the Director for Junior High Ministry at Calvary and enjoy telling powerful stories though our video ministry. I am currently pursuing a degree in Ministry Leadership. I love ministering to Junior High Students. This is such an important time in their lives and I believe every person deserves to know the incredible love of Jesus. I am married to my beautiful wife Atlantah and we have an awesome son named Zander.
